Is it really free?
Yes. Download the full app free from the App Store. There’s no account to create, no in-app purchases, and no subscription to maintain. All current features are included, and the app is yours to keep.
What’s included?
All five current recording profiles, both Camcorder 1992 and Silverwave 2004 skins, supported picture effects, per-tape audio settings, saved presets, editing, archives, casting, and exports. There are no subscriptions or in-app purchases.
Do I need an account or an internet connection?
No account is required. Record, edit, and watch your tapes offline. Your library stays on your device; Home Movies does not upload it. Casting uses a compatible receiver and your local network. Read our privacy policy for details.
Can I keep and share my movies?
Yes. Export a finished tape to Photos or share an MP4. Keep separate copies of important footage. Local archives preserve earlier edits inside the app; they are not an external backup. Our support guide covers storage, exports, permissions, and casting.
